As Kari and I like to think of our blog as a bit of a directory for places and things we love, I thought I'd share with you some of the highlights of my holiday and some of the places that you have to go to if you visit Mauritius.
1) Enjoying fresh fruit juices with a view of Grand Baie at Sunset Cafe.
2) A boat shaped stall that sells traditional fruit marinated in vinegar as well as fresh coconut juice.
3 and 4) Enjoying fresh coconut juice at the beach in Grand Baie.
5) A traditional Mauritian lunch on the beach at the gorgeous Astroea Beach Hotel.
6) Beautiful view of Black River from The Chamarel Restaurant.
7) Delectable crème brûlée at The Chamarel Restaurant.
8) Enjoying the perfect water at Le Morne beach.
9) I was so excited to find a star fish at Le Morne as they are becoming very rare.
10) Sitting outside of a beautiful Colonial house at The Botanical Gardens.

This holiday back home to Mauritius was all I intended it to be; simply relaxing. I slept in, spent time with my family and friends, visited some beautiful places and of course ate wonderful food! This holiday also made be realise that unnecessary stress is no longer welcome in my life and I hope to stick to this resolution "don't sweat the small stuff"!
